The new telescope is being launched at a special astronomy event
On 4.11.21, Thursday, we will hold a special launch event for the new mobile telescope - one of the largest in Israel, with a monstrous diameter of 20 inches - and you are invited to an unforgettable astronomical evening that will last into the night.
What awaits us?
Moshe Glantz and the guides of the singing of the stars will take you to the depths of space. A journey that will take you from the smallest particles to the largest structures in the universe, through stories, anecdotes, mythology, philosophy and the fascinating ideas behind the wisdom of astronomy in Judaism and the nations of the world.
We will not miss a guided observation under the starry sky with their stories, names, zodiac groups, useful astronomy, and more.
The training team will be joined by the astronomer and scientist Gadi Eildeit with a fascinating lecture about our nearest neighbor - the moon. Part of the lecture will be devoted to the critical role of the moon in building calendars and its importance in Jewish culture.
Of course we will observe in the new telescope, huge star clusters, distant galaxies, colorful nebulae and of course the undisputed kings of the planets - Jupiter and Saturn. waiting for you.
